Door adjustments and fuselage finishes

The last article I published was about the installation of the glazing and the finishing of the Potez 58 doors. Once closed, there are still some defects to correct. As you can see on the picture below, there are still some spaces between the doors and the fuselage that need to be corrected.

To correct this, I used 4/10 plywood shaped and glued under the fuselage side. Once glued, I used car body filler.

Once dry, I sanded it.

The doors were closed and with the help of a pencil, I have traced the exact location of the door. The excess was removed with a dremmel.

It remains to redo the paint retouching. To do this, I masked the areas that should not receive grey paint and I applied a thin layer of grey paint.
