Putty, and resin for a finish that I hope to be top

The hood and fairings still require a lot of work to correct faults. Bumps, hollows, overlapping bands …
I have little experience in this area and lots of contradictory information.
What to choose, fiberglass putty, polyester resin, cellulose, gel coat? And yet, I have everything I need, but what to choose among all that.

So I redid a lightened resin and loaded with a microballoon to give a texture close to that of putty …

So I put a layer on it and smoothed it out with a liquid soap. With gloves of course.

This additional layer really helped to correct defects, but I will have to go through the puttying step
